
Located in St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana is LaPlace along the eastern bank of the Mississippi River. LaPlace belongs to the New Orleans metropolitan area about 25 miles from New Orleans and has a population of about 28,000 residents. LaPlace is known as the “Andoullie Capital of the World” which is a smoked meat made with pork, pepper, onions and wine, sometimes known as Hot Link sausages used in Cajun cooking. Much of the economy in LaPlace depends on the Port of South Louisiana which is the largest volume shipping port in the Western Hemisphere as well as the ninth largest port in the entire world.
The LaPlace real estate market consists of mostly middle-class residents who live in traditional styled neighborhoods. Throughout each neighborhood are parks and golf courses such as Belle Terre Country Club and Riverlands Country Club. Conveniently located throughout the city are Interstates 10 and 55 as well as several smaller roads.
